Pilz and Pintsch Are Deepening Their Development Partnership with a Framework Supply Agreement

Pilz and the expert in safe railway infrastructure, Pintsch, are working together to develop innovative control and signalling technology for digitisation of the railway. In July 2023, Susanne Kunschert and Tilo Brandis, Managing Director of Pintsch GmbH, the expert in safe railway infrastructure, signed a long-term framework supply agreement. A jointly developed technology will come into use on Germany’s railways as early as the autumn.

EULYNX Object Controller for German railway project

The first result of their cooperation is the EULYNX Object Controller, which was developed jointly. This translates digital control commands from the interlockings into signals for trackside components, such as points. Pilz’s contribution is its safe railway controller.

The Pilz Object Controller will come into use as early as the autumn: In the “Zwieseler Spinne” regional network project, using Pilz technology, Pintsch demonstrates an actual implementation of digital solutions for modernising signal and interlocking technology. The project is part of the fast-track programme run by the German Federal Government, the railway industry and Deutsche Bahn (DB).

Pilz will of course keep you informed about how the partnership develops!
