Ultrasonic Sensors with Integrated IO-Link Communications
Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, presents three new series of ultrasonic sensors with integrated IO-Link communication: the UA12, UA18, and UA30 ASD..IO Series. Their compact design, with reduced blind zone, improved sensing range, and straightforward “teach” procedure make these sensors highly competitive in the industrial market.
This new range of ultrasonic IO-Link sensors offer superior sensing solutions with an excellent price-performance ratio for a wide variety of industrial applications. The sensors excel in contactless position and distance measurement, detecting any target regardless of color, transparency, or surface.
These ultrasonic sensors are particularly suited to harsh environments due to their high and low-temperature resistance and immunity to dust, steam, and fumes. They are designed to meet the highest standards of performance and reliability, providing flexible and cost-effective solutions for a wide range of industrial applications.
The UA12, UA18, and UA30 ASD..IO Series are available in both purely digital and combined versions, with one digital and one analog output. With sensing distances ranging from 20 to 6000 mm, only plug versions are offered. The latest technological advancements in these sensors have resulted in short blind zone, and a reduced housing footprint, making them a state-of-the-art sensor family that delivers high accuracy, versatility, and durability.
“Thanks to their compact design and all-in-one sensor technology, these ultrasonic sensors provide excellent performance and maximum flexibility, addressing the diverse needs of the industrial market,” said Torben Rochat, International Product Manager. “With this launch, Carlo Gavazzi is expanding its portfolio for industries such as agriculture, plastic & rubber manufacturing, bulk material conveyors, and mobile equipment machinery. We developed these sensors to offer unparalleled flexibility, allowing them to meet specific application needs across these market segments.”
