The Type 3 safety light curtains PSENopt II from Pilz are the world’s first light curtain with approval from the global test organisation Underwriters Laboratories (UL), with its headquarters in Northbrook, USA. Certification confirms that the safety light curtains meet national safety standards in the USA and Canada. This is a benefit to machine builders, particularly if they export into these markets.
Type 3 PSENopt II safety light curtains have successfully undergone the certification process of UL, a world-leading safety science company. The Type 3 safety light curtains PSENopt II were launched back in 2016 as the world’s first in this category and easily allow the implementation of Performance Level d (PL d) applications. Ultimately this saves costs as there is no need to oversize.
