Powerful sensor technology requires equally powerful connection technology. That is why Pepperl+Fuchs offers a wide range of connectivity solutions for the integration of sensors into industrial plants. The portfolio focuses on M8 and M12 connectors—the standard in factory automation. Pepperl+Fuchs is introducing a new design for the M8 and M12 connectors: Due to numerous technical optimizations, the connectors impress with increased tightness and vibration resistance as well as simplified installation and maintenance.

Innovative Design for Maximum Service Life and Convenient Handling

The M8 and M12 connectors from Pepperl+Fuchs feature an exceptionally rugged and durable design. In addition, they enable simple installation and maintenance while remaining cost-efficient. This is made possible by a number of technical features that have been optimized in the course of the all-round renewal of the portfolio.

For example, the connectors have been equipped with a captive O-ring. This unique solution from Pepperl+Fuchs ensures that the connection remains reliably tight—even after many reconnections. In addition, the creepage distance between the pins in the contact carrier has been increased significantly beyond the market standard. This has been proven to increase tolerance to moisture ingress and contamination. The innovative design also facilitates maintenance and installation in the field: imprinted numbers for pin assignment prevent the cores from being mixed up during servicing.

Technical advancements such as these extend the service life of the connectors and ensure particularly convenient handling. Even in harsh industrial applications, the M8 and M12 connectors guarantee efficient and safe processes.

The Right Solution for Every Application

The connectors are manufactured in Veszprém, Hungary, where Pepperl+Fuchs’ state-of-the-art connectivity competence center is located. This production site looks back on decades of experience in the development and manufacture of connection technology. Only raw materials from certified European suppliers are used for production to ensure high product quality. Furthermore, the M8 and M12 connectors have cULus, CE, EAC and UKCA approvals for global market access.

Pepperl+Fuchs not only offers different variants of connectors, but also a wide variety of cables. Whether standard or demanding applications—the portfolio offers the optimal solution for every requirement. In this way, customers receive sensor technology and the appropriate connection technology from a single source.
