RoboDK and SimuSoft Power ‘Robotics and Industry 4.0 Lab’ at ‘World’s Best School – 2025’

Students as young as seven years old are exploring industry-grade robotics, AI, and automation concepts thanks to a groundbreaking collaboration between leading robotics simulation and programming software company RoboDK and Pune-based SimuSoft, a provider of technology solutions to the education, industrial, and government sectors.

RoboDK and India’s SimuSoft Technologies have joined forces to equip students at ZP School Jalindarnagar in rural Maharashtra with a groundbreaking ‘Robotics and Industry 4.0 Lab’. The collaboration showcases a highly effective and budget-friendly way for schools to incorporate industry-grade robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) training into their curricula – and helped ZP School Jalindarnagar win the 2025 Community Choice Award at T4 Education’s prestigious World’s Best School Prizes ceremony.

“Governments and industry leaders worldwide are keen to support robotics and AI education strategies to help meet the future needs of industry and society, but not every school or region has the space, expertise, and financial resources to invest in these kinds of programs,” said Albert Nubiola, CEO RoboDK. “This project shows that RoboDK simulation software, which powers tens of thousands of real-world industrial automation deployments, can also be used as a powerful educational tool – even for students as young as seven years old.”

Groundbreaking robotics and AI education

“This is the first experiment of its kind in India,” said Sunil Chore, Managing Director of SimuSoft Technologies. “Through RoboDK these young students are learning concepts of robotics — programming, experimentation, and automation — at a stage when most children are just being introduced to computers.”
The collaboration provides primary school students with hands-on exposure to Industry 4.0 and access to workstations for additive and subtractive manufacturing, AI kits, and CAD tools.

“At this early age, they are already learning how CNC machines function through simulators, how to program a Raspberry Pi, and how to connect it with RoboDK and an actual Dobot robotic arm,” said Chore. “When children understand how artificial intelligence integrates with robotics at this foundational stage, they are not just learning — they are laying the groundwork for a new generation of skilled innovators.”

Why simulation-first matters for schools

For many schools, the high cost and complexity of robotics hardware limit students’ access to hands-on technology learning.
RoboDK’s simulation platform enables students to plan, test, and run robot programs virtually — without needing expensive hardware. This approach makes robotics education more accessible, safe, and engaging, while helping young learners develop problem-solving, teamwork, and technical confidence from an early age.

“Simulation lets students experiment with multi-million-dollar industrial equipment in a completely safe, virtual environment, so schools don’t need to invest in expensive or potentially dangerous physical robots,” said RoboDK CEO, Nubiola.
Word of the project has already spread to other schools, with more than 700 new students already lined up to participate in the growing initiative.

“The world urgently needs a new wave of school students who are equipped with key robotics and AI ‘know how’. By introducing these concepts early, we can foster a new generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and critical thinkers who will be ready for the automated world of the future,” said Nubiola.

“RoboDK turns robotics learning into an exciting, hands-on experience,” said SimuSoft Managing Director, Chore. “Students can program and control virtual robots, see instant results, and understand how their ideas work in real life. When they finally use an actual robot, they’re thrilled to watch their classroom simulations come alive.”

Future plans

The scalable and affordable model of robotic education developed by RoboDK and SimuSoft can be replicated anywhere in the world.

“Robotics needs to shift from being a specialized, higher-education subject to a foundational skill taught at the school level. RoboDK invites schools, educators and policy makers worldwide to reach out and join us on our journey to inspire and support the workforce of tomorrow,” said Nubiola.
