Security On Board Automated Guided Vehicle Systems

February 1, 2023

security

Freely navigating automated guided vehicle systems (AGVS) in production halls communicatewith their control station wirelessly. That means they are susceptible to attacks or tampering from outside. Map data can be queried; in the worst case, the AGVS and therefore production can even be halted.

In order to protect human and machine, and therefore also industrial security, Pilz’s complete solution for automated guided vehicle systems (AGVS) includes not only safe sensor technology and safety relays, but also the SecurityBridge industrial firewall. This reliably guarantees that nobody can access the mobile platform’s internal IT network without authorisation during operation – industrial security is therefore included.

From simple track-bound to freely navigating AGVS, we offer modular product solutions from our safety and security portfolio and work with you in partnership to develop individual safety solutions. This modularity ensures that productivity and safety are always efficiently in harmony.

The extra benefit: If necessary, we can take care of the international conformity assessment of the AGVS, such as CE marking for example – but also for the entire application.
