Panduit Expands FTTH Solutions to Meet Growing Demand for Quality Broadband Infrastructure

New Plug-and-Play Lineup Helps ISPs, Engineering Firms, and Contractors Build and Expand Networks Faster with Less Labour

Panduit, a global leader in electrical and network infrastructure solutions, has announced that it is introducing five new products, developed to meet the industry’s demand for high-quality, durable, and easy-to-use outside plant broadband solutions. Designed for fast, seamless installation in challenging outdoor environments, Panduit’s latest Fiber to the Home (FTTH) lineup of scalable and long-lasting infrastructure solutions will help service providers accelerate deployment, reduce costs, and future-proof their networks.

“Labour shortages, installation hurdles, and durability concerns can slow fiber to the home deployment, making it harder for providers to meet rising demand,” said Tom Walsh, Vice President of Panduit Enterprise Business. “Broadband providers need solutions that install quickly, withstand extreme outdoor conditions, and support future expansion. That’s why we developed these products — to simplify deployment, ensure long-term performance, and reduce maintenance costs so providers can stay focused on delivering exceptional service.”

Faster, Easier, and More Reliable Broadband Deployment

Panduit’s broadband infrastructure products include:

  • Multiport Service Terminals (MSTs): Enable rapid deployment with 4, 8, or 12-port configurations and flexible lengths from 200 to 500 feet. Built with durable, IP68-rated materials, MSTs resist water, UV exposure, and harsh environments, ensuring long-lasting reliability. Multiple mounting options—handhole, pedestal, pole, or strand—provide adaptability for any installation scenario.
  • Pedestals: Speed up installation with pre-installed MST brackets for quick setup. Available in 8″ and 10″ sizes, these rugged enclosures protect fiber networks from the elements and ensure long-term performance in challenging environments.
  • Fiber Drop Cable Assemblies: Reduce labour time with pre-connectorized toneable drop cables that eliminate field splicing. Non-toneable drop cables allow customized lengths, reducing waste and improving cable management. Built with weather-hardened technology, these cables ensure high-quality signal transmission and long-term durability.
  • Outside Plant Fiber Optic Cables: Scale networks efficiently with fiber counts from 48 to 144. Armored cables provide maximum protection in direct burial and high-traffic environments, while non-armored options offer lightweight flexibility for aerial and conduit installations. Engineered for extreme temperatures and UV exposure, these cables deliver reliable, high-quality connectivity in any climate.
  • Outdoor Dome Fiber Splice Closures: Ensure long-term network integrity with IP68-rated protection against water and dust. Designed for aerial and underground applications, these enclosures accommodate multiple fiber distribution cable types while maintaining high durability in demanding environments.

Eliminating Labour Challenges and Reducing Costs

According to Walsh, the Panduit solutions streamline installation, helping broadband providers deploy faster while cutting labour expenses. “With pre-connectorized cables, integrated mounting options, and rugged, high-quality materials, Panduit eliminates common installation bottlenecks and ensures networks operate efficiently with minimal maintenance.”

He added that the company’s products empower providers to keep pace with broadband expansion without overburdening their workforce. “At Panduit, innovation is at the core of what we do,” he emphasized. “Through our Jack E. Caveney Innovation Center, we continuously develop cutting-edge products that streamline deployment, enhance efficiency, and drive cost savings—while ensuring the long-term reliability and durability of outside plant networks.”
