Advanced Motion & Controls Ltd. continues to expand its product lineup by teaming up with more major manufacturers – including Epson FA, a team of precision automation specialists whose industrial robots are now available in Canada through the supplier. Businesses worldwide have depended on Epson robots for more than 35 years to lower production expenses, boost product quality, and increase their bottom lines.

Three kinds of robots

This complete line of industrial robots works for a wide range of automation applications, like assembly, pick and place, part transfer, material handling, packaging, kitting/tray loading, machine tending, screw-driving, dispensing, palletizing, laboratory analysis and testing, inspection, material removal, surface finishing, and grinding. Epson recommends them for use in various industries, including electronics, consumer products, the medical field, and the automotive sector. Epson has a global client base that includes Fortune 100 companies as well as small manufacturing plants.

Epson offers three categories of industrial robots through Advanced Motion & Controls:

  • SCARA robots. Epson is the number-one manufacturer of SCARA robots in the world, with more than 300 models from which customers can choose for their specific applications.

 

  • Six-axis robots. These compact, high-performance units provide high reliability and flexibility. Epson six-axis robots can work in confined spaces easily with their unique SlimLine design and small footprint.

 

  • All-in-one robots. Units that combine SCARA and six-axis features, with space-saving design, ease of use, and a built-in controller that provide automation in a convenient, ultra-low-cost way.

 

Industrial robots offer a broad variety of integrated options to help users speed up development. Examples include vision guidance, conveyor tracking, force sensing, tool adapters, Fieldbus I/O options, .NET support, GUI builder, security options, and expansion I/O boards. Relevant applications span a wide spectrum, from automobile parts and semiconductors to furniture, jewellery, dental instruments, and pacemakers.
