Design/Manufacture/Measure: Gleason Presents Smart Loop Gear Manufacturing at MPT 2025 in Detroit, MI USA.

Gleason Corporation invites customers and industry professionals to visit Booth 529 at Motion + Power Technology Expo 2025, short MPT, in Detroit, Michigan USA, from October 21 to 23, 2025. This year, they will present groundbreaking innovations across the full spectrum of gear technology — from digital design and high-precision manufacturing to nano-level inspection — with a particular focus on Smart Loop Gear Manufacturing.

At the heart of Gleason’s presentation is the seamless transition from gear design to manufacturing. The latest KISSsoft® Gear Design Software, now integrated with the KISSsoft System Module, offers advanced capabilities for simulating complete transmissions and gearbox components. These innovations streamline the engineering process and will be showcased live at the booth.

In manufacturing, Gleason introduces several new solutions tailored to small and medium-sized gear production. The Phoenix® 100C Bevel Gear Cutting Machine enables fast, user-friendly production of high-precision bevel gears for robotic and industrial applications. For differential gear systems, the Coniflex® Pro Manufacturing System sets new standards in a closed-loop environment, significantly reducing surface stress and root bending while improving NVH performance and transmission accuracy.

In gear inspection, Gleason unveils the 300GMS nano Gear Metrology System, which delivers submicron precision using a skidless probe and advanced evaluation tools such as Waviness Analysis and the KTEPS Kinematic Transmission Error Prediction Software. These technologies enable fast and accurate diagnosis of gear noise and surface deviations. New to Gleason’s Metrology Program are the INTRA Single and Double Flank Testing systems, which are tailored to customers needs and can be fully automated in line or in cells.

Visitors will also experience the speed of the QFS Quick-Flex System, where workholding changeovers take less than 30 seconds, and see the latest hydraulic and mechanical clamping systems designed for precision and ease of handling across a wide range of machining needs.

Complementing the machinery, the company presents a broad range of cutting and hard finishing tools. These include high-performance hard finishing tools for grinding and honing applications, carbide power skiving cutters for any machine platform, and a full portfolio of HSS and carbide hobs and milling cutters, including worm gear hobs and coarse pitch hobs, suitable for automotive, industrial, and many other applications.

Additionally, Gleason Plastic Gears provides optimized gear tooth macro and micro geometry using KISSsoft, system analysis, design-for-moldability, custom material selection, single and multi-cavity molds, no weld-line technology, over-molding and much more.

Finally, Gleason Global Services will be on site to demonstrate how digital maintenance tools, modernization programs, and expert support ensure maximum uptime and performance across the entire machine lifecycle.
