Bossard Showcases Advanced Fastening Technology at FABTECH 2024 in Orlando, Florida

Bossard Inc., a leader in industrial fastening and assembly technology solutions, announces a live demonstration of its innovative fastening technology at the 2024 FABTECH show in Orlando, Florida.

Bossard’s Fastening Innovations:

Enhancing production and manufacturing processes is crucial for success as we face a rapidly growing industry. However, challenges such as skilled labor shortages, effective cost management, and meeting strict quality standards can cause delays.

With high turnover rates, finding and retaining qualified workers is increasingly difficult, making it essential to simplify workloads and streamline training. Bossard addresses this with their custom ELAM software, which enhances assembly processes through connected devices, real-time data collection, and comprehensive traceability. By replacing outdated manual methods with automated systems, ELAM simplifies onboarding and reduces assembly errors.

Quality control is central to Bossard’s mission, supported by over 80 technical experts worldwide, accredited testing labs, and a range of quality certifications. At FABTECH, Bossard will showcase innovations like their Ultrasonic Measuring Equipment and Junker’s Vibration Testing Machine. These technologies precisely assess parameters such as torque, angle, load, and RPM, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Doug Jones, Application Engineering Manager, emphasizes, “Engineers design for clamp load and use calculations to estimate how much torque to use for safely fastened joints. Visit their booth to see how Bossard can measure actual clamp load in your joint and eliminate
guesswork.”

Bossard will also conduct a live demonstration of their SmartBin technology and ARIMS system. This system utilizes the Internet of Things (IoT) to optimize global supply chain management, automate inventory tracking, and reduce working hours by up to 1,800, leading to a lower total cost of ownership.

“Our engineers are innovating the fastener industry through their forward-thinking mindset and unparalleled expertise, developing solutions that anticipate future needs and surpass current standards,” says Mike Zehentner, Business Development Manager. They will be highlighting its Assembly Technology Expert services and Smart Factory Assembly innovations, designed to aid manufacturers in crafting and refining fastening strategies through a combination of accredited testing laboratories, custom software, and expert engineering insights.
