More than $5.6 Million to Siemens Canada to Expand and Modernize its Drummondville Plant
Automating Businesses to Increase their Productivity

Christine Fréchette, Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy and Minister responsible for Regional Economic Development; André Lamontagne, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Minister responsible for the Centre-du-Québec region; and Sébastien Schneeberger, Member of Parliament for Drummond-Bois-Francs, announce an investment in the form of a loan of up to $5,606,750 to Siemens Canada to support the expansion and modernization of its electrical products manufacturing plant in Drummondville.
The project aims to create 52 quality jobs and increase Siemens Canada’s production capacity by adding 60,000 square feet of space to the Drummondville plant, in addition to expanding the company’s range of electrical equipment products, particularly for the industrial sector. It will also allow the company to integrate digital technologies and intelligent control software that will further increase the performance of its plant.
In the current geopolitical context, it is more necessary than ever for the Quebec government to invest in the productivity of Quebec businesses to make them more attractive and competitive in different markets.
